More Flowers....

Here are two more flowers for my scrappy flowers quilt...I now have a total of ten flowers and will begin the second round of petals on these...then I will do ten more and do the same...this way I won't have to do the second round all at one time....
My little stack is steadily growing....
And all ten of them together...now to go rumble through the stash for the next round on these....keep those needles stitching,

A Few More Hexies...

I made another hexi for my scrappy hex quilt that I am making...I have a few more basted and ready to stitch over the next couple of days as well...this one I fussy cut which I am not to keen on for the waste that it causes...I only had a tiny bit of this fabric left, so I decided to grit my teeth and fussy  cut the cups...I like how it turned out...keep those needles stitching.

Another Star....

Here is another star for my scrappy stars quilt...these are very enjoyable to make and so easy to do....they come together quickly once you have them basted...I  will be basting the stack you see this week and trying to get them together as stars as well...what are you working on with epp...keep those needles stitching.

English Paper Pieced Star

I decided to try the diamonds to make a star.  I just grabbed some bright scraps and this is what I got.  I did enjoy playing with it.

I decided to make it into a mug rug so I appliqued it to the tan background.  I did not quilt it but tacked it at some of the corners and then brought the back around for the binding.  It came out okay.  May do more stars in the future.

Some Hexie Love....

Another large hexi.....
 another scrappy hexi....

I did get two hexies made and started another scrappy project as well...this one will be 2" stars....

 All three together....
I was hoping to get more accomplished this week, but with my mom getting sick I just did not have the time...these have been added to the stacks and hopefully I will have more to add to them soon...

Hexie Flower Quilt Top

Here is the picture of the kit Terry bought.

This is what we did with it.  She wanted all the flowers to have the same centers and white hexies around them.  I think it really shows off the hexie flowers this way.  My part is done, now it is up to her to decide how she wants to finish it.  I really like the way it came out.  It was done with the English paper piecing method. It is all sewn by hand.

Row 6

Things have been moving right along.  I finished row 6 this morning.  Now I need to do the 31 white hexies for the last row and across the bottom like the top.  I have the last 3 flowers already finished.  Maybe by the end of the weekend I can get it finished.  Then it goes to Terry so she can finish it any way she decides to.  It was her kit to start with.  I am just putting it together the way she wanted it.

One Flower Wednesday...

This is my flower for the "One Flower Wednesday" ...these little flowers will be completely scrappy and will at some point become a quilt...as I am not in a hurry I will be making these when I have the extra time each week...

My Start...

This is the hexi project I am working on...it is my wip that I hope to finish soon...I was really sick right after I started this quilt top and had to set it aside...needless to say it sat languishing in my project tub all but forgotten...I have pulled it back out to work on it again thus the reason for the birth of this blog...you are welcome to follow along with me as I go through my journey of the great hexi garden, which I have dubbed "Wild Flowers"...

A Great Start...

I decided to create a blog dedicated to the "Grandmothers Flower Garden" project that I am working on...I have another one in the planning stages for after this one is finished...I may open this blog for others who are working on a hexi project if there is enough interest in participation...so if you would like to join this blog leave a comment on this post only and I will add you to the list...let the fun and sharing begin...
